ABOUT THE NORTHAMPTON BOOTCAMP COMPANY
Fitness should be something you look forward to.
We think getting fitter should be about more than counting reps, staring at a screen or spending an hour surrounded by gym equipment.
It should get you outside.
It should make you feel good.
And, every now and then, it should make you laugh when you’re supposed to be exercising.
That’s what The Northampton Bootcamp Company is about.
We train outdoors at Thornton Park in Northampton, using the park, the trails, the hills and whatever else we can find to make every session a little different.
Some days you’ll work harder than you expected. Some days you’ll discover you can do something you didn’t think you could. Occasionally you’ll get wet. You may get muddy.
But you won’t be doing it alone.

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE FIT TO START
That’s important.
NBC isn’t a club for people who are already super-fit. You don’t have to be a runner. You don’t have to know your burpees from your mountain climbers. And you certainly don’t need to “get fit first” before coming along.
Sessions are designed so that people of different abilities can train together.
You start where you are.
Then we’ll help you get fitter from there.

FITNESS. FUN. FRIENDSHIP.
Those three words aren’t just a tagline.
They’re what we want every NBC session to contain.
Fitness, because you’re there to become stronger, fitter and more capable.
Fun, because if you actually enjoy exercising, you’re much more likely to keep doing it.
And Friendship, because there’s something very different about exercising alongside people who know your name, notice when you’re missing and are pleased to see you when you come back.
That’s the kind of fitness community we’re building at Thornton Park.
COME AND HAVE A LOOK AROUND
Thornton Park is the home of The Northampton Bootcamp Company.
Watch the video and I’ll show you around the park, some of the areas we’ll be using, where to park and exactly where we’ll meet when you arrive.
If you’re wondering what to expect before your first session, this should make turning up that little bit easier.

FITNESS SHOULD BE FOR EVERYBODY
During the pandemic, we ran outdoor bootcamp sessions for clients of the local Blind Association, adapting the exercises so that blind and visually impaired participants could enjoy exercising together in the park.
Those sessions eventually led to Owen receiving the Rose of Northamptonshire Award for dedication to the safety of the community.
We’re rather proud of that — but more importantly, it reinforced something we still believe today: fitness doesn’t have to look the same for everybody.
COME AND FIND OUT FOR YOURSELF
You don’t need to decide whether outdoor fitness is for you before you’ve even tried it.
That’s why your first two weeks are completely free.
Come along. Meet us. Try a few different sessions. See how you feel.
You might just discover that getting fit can be one of the best parts of your week.
