The Northampton Bootcamp Company respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
When you book or attend a session, contact us or become a member, we may collect information including your:
- name;
- email address and telephone number;
- booking and attendance information;
- payment and membership information;
- communications with us; and
- health and fitness information that you provide through our Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) or otherwise provide to us where relevant to your participation.
We only collect information that we reasonably need to operate our sessions and provide our services.
How we use your information
We may use your personal information to:
- manage your bookings and membership;
- contact you about sessions, cancellations, changes or other information relating to your participation;
- process payments;
- help us provide sessions safely and appropriately;
- maintain appropriate business and financial records; and
- comply with our legal obligations.
We will not sell your personal information.
Our lawful basis for using your information
Under UK data protection law, we need a lawful basis for processing personal information.
We generally process ordinary personal information where it is necessary to provide the services you have requested, where we have a legitimate business interest in running and administering The Northampton Bootcamp Company, or where we have a legal obligation to retain or use information.
Health information contained in your PAR-Q or otherwise provided to us is treated as special category personal data and given additional protection. Where appropriate, we will ask for your explicit consent to process this information for the purpose of helping us assess your readiness to participate safely in our activities.
You may withdraw consent to the processing of your health information at any time by contacting us, although this may affect our ability to allow you to participate safely in our sessions.
Marketing
We may occasionally send you news, offers or information about The Northampton Bootcamp Company where you have agreed to receive it or where the law otherwise permits us to do so.
You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
Operational messages about a session you have booked — for example a cancellation, location change or booking reminder — are not marketing communications.
Who we share your information with
We may use trusted service providers to help operate the business, such as our booking, website, email and payment providers.
They may process personal information on our behalf only as necessary to provide their services.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
International transfers
Some of the service providers we use may process or store personal information outside the UK. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards required by UK data protection law are in place.
How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, insurance or record-keeping requirements.
Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted or destroyed.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, depending on the circumstances, you may have rights including the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete your information;
- restrict or object to certain uses of your information;
- withdraw consent where we rely upon consent; and
- ask for certain information to be transferred to you or another organisation.
If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with the way we use your personal information.
